Inverurie Pipe Band is based in
, a country town some 16 miles north west of Aberdeen in the north east of
Scotland. It was formed in 1957 as a Town Band to take
part in local events and to help to encourage tourism (See ).
Although its activities take it further afield to competitions and other engagements, it still maintains its sense of contributing to the local community.

Our members, whose ages range from youngsters to over 60, come from a diverse set of backgrounds, living within a catchment area of about 18 to 20 miles of Inverurie.
Playing members of the Band today share a wide range of experience, some some have been playing the pipes for more than forty years, while some have played in public for less than two years or so. Fortunes vary from year to year, but the Band continues to have considerable potential for the future (See ).
